Zack has been teaching drums, percussion, piano, and/or guitar since 2017. His teaching experience spans online and in-home private lessons, studio private lessons, and staff teaching positions for private studios, high schools, and at the University of Northern Colorado. Zack has often been invited to give clinics at jazz programs at various colleges and universities, as well as middle schools and high schools.

Zack taught undergraduate students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, while pursuing a Masters's in Jazz Studies, which he earned in 2025. 

Zack taught percussion at A.C. Davis High School, Heritage High School, and Music World in Washington state and drums, percussion, piano, and guitar at Loveland Music Academy in Colorado.
